Autumn Festival in the kindergarten

Don't worry about the evenings getting longer - gather together your supplies and use the time to enjoy these fantastic autumn games at home with the parents - teacher  Alvyda said. And I like those words. You know autumn is a fantastic time to celebrate. See, I am celebrating together with the kids.

Dodgeball with Year 6

Hola!

Today, I had some fantastic fun as I got to play a sport I had never seen before. The sport was called dodgeball. I played this new sport at lunchtime with 10 year 6 pupils and I really enjoyed it. The aim of the sport is to eliminate, one by one, all of the opposition team by throwing a 'soft' dodgeball at them from inside your team's area. Which ever team eliminates all of the opposition team WINS!!!
I recommend this sport to all of my friends to try as you would have a great time playing it.

Only 2 more days left until I have to pack up my things and meet up with everyone in Lithuania. Going to miss everyone at Ward Green Primary School and I would like to thank them for the great time I have had. I look forward to visiting the United Kingdom again one day.

See you soon.

White Quarry Farm

Hola!

Today I went on a school trip with the Year 2 pupils to White Quarry Farm, which is located in Tadcaster, Yorkshire. It was a fantastic day and I got to see so many different animals such as; horses, pony's, sheep and Guinea Pigs. The reason for the trip was to learn about the different jobs the farmers of England do and the different animals they look after. I really enjoyed my time at the farm and it is an experience I will never forget.

I can't wait to see which country I am going to next when we all meet up in Lithuania next week. See you soon.

After School Baking

Hola!

Today I stayed behind after school so that I could go to the brand new club called 'Baking Club'. It was the first day of baking today, and me and 7 lucky pupils got the chance to bake some lovely flapjacks. Below are some pictures of the preparation and hard work we had to put into making the flapjacks. I had never tasted a flapjack before but after today I will definately be baking them again as they were amazing and so tasty!!!

I look foward to showing you all how to bake them when I get back home. See you soon.

Space Centre

Hola!

Today I went on a school trip with the Year 5 pupils of Ward Green Primary School to the Space Centre, which is located in Leicester, East Midlands. The reason for this fantastic trip was to learn more about the interesting new class topic the 'Solar System'. I learnt so many new facts about what surrounds the world we live in and even got to watch an amazing mini movie about astronauts in the Space Centre's Planterium. I also had great fun on the simulator ride. Below is a picture of me with my Year 5 friend and my Space Centre ticket.

I am really enjoying my time in England at Ward Green Primary School but I am also really looking forward to seeing all my friends when I get back home.

Breakfast Club

Hello Friends,

I really enjoy attending breakfast club before lessons. They have delicious food and we get to play games.

Today, I am designing with my friend. I am trying really hard to colour carefully! British children love art!

Here I am practising my measuring. For some reason, the bobbins are really heavy.

Swimming!

Today, I am at the swimming pool with my friends. They are really good and can swim fast!

They go swimming every Friday and have to take a coach to the swimming pool.

Gardening at the allotment

Hello Friends,

Here I am with my friends from class 4 and 5! Each class has been given a plot of land. They  are trying to grow fruits and vegetables.

Can you see me watering the potato plants? When they are ready we will cook them in the school kitchen!

Here I am next to the allotment scarecrow! He scares away the birds!

My fingers are turning green!

Summer Fair

Hola,
Wow! Today has been brilliant. I visited the school Summer fair at Ward Green. The parents, teachers and children spent a long time preparing.

Here I am with the school's other mascot. He says he is missing Roving Rex.

We all had glitter tattoos. They were really sparkly but now I don't want to wash it off.

We bobbed for apples. Some children got very wet!

I won a coconut on the coconut shy! We had to thow bean bags to try and knock one off.

Here I am playing Jenga with my friend from class 4.

They even had a bouncy castle and fair ground rides on the school playing field.

We are waiting to see how much money as been raised. All the money will be spent on something good for the children to use in school!

See you soon, love Curro!

Letters From Friends Around the World

Hola!

Today, I spent the day with pupils from Year 5 at Ward Green Primary School reading letters from pupils around the world that are taking part in this great Comenius Project.

I was so amazed with how brilliant the letters were written and decorated, and could see by the reaction of the pupils that they were very happy that so many pupils from different countries had replied to their letters.

It has been such a fun day and really look forward to reading more letters in the future!
