A Day Trip to Kirklees Light Railway
Hola! I am missing all my friends at home,
Today, I went on a school trip with the Year 1 pupils of Ward Green Primary School to Kirlees Railway Station which is located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
I had a fantastic time with my new friends learning about the history of the old steam trains that used to go around England. I did many different things such as playing in the big outdoor play area and I even got to ride on a 'mini' steam train on a track around Kirklees Railway Station which you can see from the picture below...

A Day Helping Create An Ancient Greek Role Play
Hola to all my friends at home!
Today, I have been helping the Year 5 pupils of Ward Green Primary School create an Ancient Greek display and role play area at the back of the classroom. I had a lot of fun helping the pupils and also telling them about all the Ancient Greek stories I learnt from my time spent in Greece.
Love from Curro xxxx

Sa Die de Sa Sardigna
Sunday, 21 April 2013
This year fell on April 21st, but the feast of Sant’Isidoro in Ghilarza is not always on the same date. Usually set on the second Sunday after Easter, the feast in honor of farmers’ patron is celebrated in different days throughout Sardinia.
The parade that in Ghilarza takes place on the second Sunday after Easter is the last performance of the religious celebrations in honor of the saint. The horses come first, some obedient some more “independent”, followed by tractors and bulls embellished by flowers and ears of wheat to symbolize farmers’ work. After the bulls is the parade of traditionals costumes, different for each village, and finally the priest, his helpers and the townspeople praying and closing the procession.Lined up on the sides are men blank shooting with their rifles all along the way.
